"As much as I, I want you

I don't wanna wreck a friend

I've already found in you

I've been there before

And I can't ignore

How two friends became one

But walked away with none

I cannot risk a friend

But the love is so good

I gotta make a choice

I would if I could ..." Mary J. Blige

So far this year I've gotten so many calls from people I haven't talked with in awhile. My cellular phone has been ringing nonstop from people that I thought I would never talk with again or anytime soon. As I sit here and type this entry I'm thinking of Joe Sample and Lalah Hathaway's jam "When Your Life Was Low."

"Some people come into your life for a season, and some for a lifetime."

Today I woke up and decided that I was going to head to Barnes and Nobles and check out Marc Baptiste's "Beautiful." I had been reading reviews in various magazines concerning the book and I thought I would check it out. I'll be the first to admit that the pictures were indeed beautiful.

Yesterday evening I went out to eat with Sevet and a co-worker of mine Kenshasa at TGI Friday's. Even though Kenshasa decided to show up late -- We ate and had a round of drinks. We went ended playing laser tag ... and for the record I want everyone to know that Sevet and Kenshasa cheated! Yes, you heard right ... They cheated!

I've been really enjoying myself lately and that's a good thing for me. I usually focus in on one project and put everything else on the back burner. It's been awhile but I'm finally making time for me ... and I've even started watering my Spiritual Garden again. I guess with Sevet back in town ... Watering my spiritual garden isn't such a hassle (Even though it shouldn't be an issue.)

Love and I are still seeing eye to eye which I'm happy to report. I decided to go with "Seven Days," by Mary J. Blige at the beginning of today's entry ... Today at Sunday Brunch a friend made a comment about the song and it's funny what you can pick up when people don't think anyone else is listening.

Alright ... I'm Gone.

P.S.

Cowperina, I already know.
