"Ohh, you not feelin me?

Fine, It cost you nothin

Pay me no mind." ~Jay-Z

Some people fail to realize that ... If your not feelin' me ... move on 'cause it costed you nothing ... pay me no mind.

Last night I decided to retire early and skip all of those wonderful events that usually call my name on the weekend. I had planned on going to see Jagged Edge but when I realized it was at a club, I had a change of heart. I had planned on getting a soulful rest and I did just that. I received numerous phone calls from friends wondering what I was going to be doing but when they realized that I was halfway asleep ... they got the message that I wasn't leaving my bed.

Friday night I went to the Santa Monica Promenade with Maurice and Jeffery. When I'm with those two I always seen to enjoy myself ... and Friday was no exception to the rule. It was kinda funny because we were walking down the Promenade and Maurcie spots Boris Kodjoe standing directly across from us. He looked exactly like his character Damon from Showtime's "Soul Food," it was surreal. Everyone else must of been in their own (dare I say little) worlds because no one seem to recognize him but us. Eventually two girls walked up to him and asked that his date take a picture of them together with him. I thought it was kinda rude for them but I guess that's the price of Fame. Somehow after Santa Monica we ended up at this hole in the wall bar and had a drink or two ... While at the bar I had a "Waiting To Exhale," moment ... I thought to myself "I came out to this ... I could've had a V-8!"

As far as My Little Secret is concerned ... This person is a friend who informed me that they have strong feelings for me but there is nothing that they nor I can do about the situation at the present time because they're already in a relationship.

"Now what am I supposed to do

When I want you in my world

How can I want you for myself

When I'm already someone's girl?" ~Erykah Badu

Yesterday I got my hands on a very interesting book John Healy's: Black. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed Marc Baptiste's latest book. The images inside of John Healy's book are powerful while at the same time thought provoking.

Alright -- I'm Gone.
