"I thought if I gave him what he wanted, He would give me what I wanted." ~Waiting To Exhale

This morning I got up and drove down to LA to attend Tavis Smiley's "Blacks In Technology," at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Since I work in the Telecommunications Industry, I thought it would be worth my wild to get up extra early and attend. I was able to talk Sevet in attending with me ... and I'm glad that she went along with me. I failed to stop off at the bank before getting downtown -- So I had to drive around town looking for an ATM. Man, Those ATM fees are going to kill me! After finding a parking space -- Sevet and I walked halfway around the Staples Center to get to the Expo. We gained some helpful knowledge and we were able to get some free gadgets (more so Sevet than I).

From there we went to the Gap in Santa Monica and I was able to pick up a pair of pants for about five dollars. I'm hoping and praying that they fit ... for some odd reason I have trouble getting into a pair of Gap jeans.

I'm sitting at home now washing all of my loads of clothes ... and I have to plenty of them. It's funny how I never have anything to wear but when it's time to wash -- I have tons of 'em!

I guess while my clothes are drying I'll pop in my "love jones," DVD and catch up some old memories!

My spirits have been on the up and up lately ... and I'm glad that they have. I wish I could from my ID -- I don't recall the last time I had it and it's making it really hard for me go out and shake a tailfeather.

I went and picked up Jaguar Wright's latest CD from Best Buy this week -- and it was totally worth my $6.99 that I had to spend on it. Ever since I saw her on Jay-Z's MTV Unplugged show -- I knew I had to get her cd when it dropped. If you don't have it ... GET IT! The liner notes are hilarious as hell ... (I'm still laughing).

I also managed to get my hands on Ledisi's "Soulsinger," ... and I was so happy when I found it at Borders!

Being that it's Black History Month I went and purchased a book to keep myself entertained this month. I picked up Sapphire's "Push," and thus far it's going while.

Alright -- I'm Gone
