I'm gonna be alright tonight" ~Usher

Where should I begin? It has been some time I've post an entry ... I'm really not sure the reason why but at times I feel the need to just take a break.

Valentine's Day came and went ... I didn't have anything planned so I just spent the day as if it was another day. I did receive a couple of telephone calls from people I haven't heard from in awhile ... So I guess it all turned out for the best.

There's this Verizon commerical where they have this lady who playing the role of an Operator ... and for some odd reason she reminds me of Vanessa Williams (Maxime from Showtime's "Soul Food"). Speaking of "Soul Food," I was able to catch the season finale of "Soul Food," last night and I must hand it to Boris Kodjoe (Damon) ... He played the hell outta his role in the finale. Even though I'm a little upset that I'll have to wait until August to catch season 3 ... I'll wait.

I finished reading "Push," and it was a very good read. I would recommend the book for anyone who enjoyed reading "The Color Purple." Precious Jones, an illerate sixteen-year-old was once invisible to the father who raped her, to the mother who beat her and to the authorities who once dismissed her as just one more of Harlem's casualties. Precious soons discovers that she can do more in life than just "Push," out babies.
