"Now I may have wisdom and knowledge on Earth | But if I speak wrong then what is it worth? | See what we now know is nothing compared | to the love that was shown when our lives were spared | and tell him ..."Lauryn Hill

I've never really been good at saying "Goodbye," -- So whenever that point in time comes to say anything close to "Goodbye" I can only manage to say "See you later." Yesterday a friend of mine left California and is headed for Washington D.C. For him life in California wasn't everything that it's made out to be in film or music. He arrived in California two years ago on a hope and a dream ... and both of them were deferred. I'm not sure what the future holds for him or what awaits him in Washington D.C., but hopefully it'll be more than California had to offer.

Last night my life could have come to a premature end, but luckily it didn't. Some of the craziest people who drive live in California -- Los Angeles to be exact. I was in a car with two friends when a Toyota Sequoia pulled on the side of us and asked "Is there a problem?" The only problem was the driver of the Toyota Sequoia decided to run a red light at a busy intersection minutes earlier leaving the car that I was hopeless until we were able to turn left. Naturally, the driver of the car I was in was going to hoot and holler concerning the matter that had just taken place ... But what do you do when someone follows you to your destination? I can laugh about it now and kiss the ground and thank my lucky stars being that I'm still here ... but I felt I was in a John Singleton movie last night when all this took place. Luckily I didn't start laughing ... I can crack a smile or laugh in a heartbeat (even when it's not needed.)
